Whither RAD

Greg Bak (he/him) is an associate professor of archival studies at the University of Manitoba and a settler of Polish descent on Treaty One lands and the homeland of the Red River Métis. A Fellow of the Association of Canadian Archivists, his research and teaching focus on archival decolonization, digital archives, and the histories of digital cultures.

Creighton Barrett (he/him) is an archivist at Dalhousie University, located on the unceded territories of the Mi’kmaw, Wolastoqey, and Peskotomuhkati peoples. He was a member of the CCA working group that developed the Canadian Archival Accession Information Standard (CAAIS).

Jennifer Douglas (she/her) is an associate professor in the Master of Archival Studies program at the University of British Columbia, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. Her research and teaching focus on arrangement and description and personal and community archives.

Krista Jamieson (she/they) is a digital archivist who has worked at the Bank of Canada, McMaster University, the University of Alberta, and Dalhousie University. She is currently a senior consultant at Library and Archives Canada and a PhD candidate at Western University’s Faculty of Information and Media Studies. Krista lives in the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, adjacent to the Haldimand Tract within the Between the Lakes Treaty (1792) lands.

Karen Suurtamm (she/her) is the University Archivist and Head, Special Collections, at Trent University, located on the treaty and traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishnaabeg. She has worked in a number of academic archives and as an assistant professor (teaching stream) in the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto.
