Germaine Warkentin
Germaine Warkentin is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Toronto. Many of her publications are on manuscript evidence and literary interpretation in the early modern period. Currently she is editing the library catalogue of the Sidney family of Penshurst Place (ca. 1665), working on an edition of the writings of Pierre-Esprit Radisson, and editing the early critical writings of Northrop Frye for the Collected Works. Recent articles include: "The World and the Book at Penshurst: the Second Earl of Leicester (1595-1677) and his Library," in The Library (December, 1998), and "In Search of ‘The Word of the Other’: Aboriginal Sign Systems and the History of the Book in Canada," in Book History II (1999).
