Andrew Birrell

Andrew Birrell is Director of the National Photography Collection of the Public Archives of Canada. Author of Benjamin Balfzl~land co-author of Canadian Photography 1839-1920, he has written and lectured widely on early photography in Canada.

Peter Robertson

Since joining the Public Archives of Canada in 1967, Peter Robertson has been an archivist with the National Photography Collection. He has been an occasional contributor to Archivaria since the publication of the second issue in 1976.

Lilly Koltun

Lilly Koltun obtained her M.A. in Art History from the Courtauld Institute, University of London, England, in 1974. She joined the National Photography Collection in 1976 and is now Chief of the Acquisition and Research Section. She is currently recovering from coordinating the exhibition and publication "Private Realms of Light."

Andrew C. Rodger

Andrew Rodger has been with the National Photography Collection since 1975, during which time he has worked on several exhibitions. The latest, "Inner Visions" on photography of interiors at the turn of the century, is being expanded into a book.

Joan M. Schwartz

After obtaining an M.A. in Historical Geography from the University of British Columbia, Joan Schwartz joined the National Photography Collection in 1977. In conjunction with "Private Realms of Light," she organized the one-day symposium, "International Perspectives on Amateur Photography."

Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication retain copyright in their work. They are required to sign the Agreement on Authors' Rights and Responsibilities that permits Archivaria to publish and disseminate the work in print and electronically. In the same agreement, authors are required to confirm that "the material submitted for publication in Archivaria, both in its paper and electronic versions, including reproductions of other works (e.g. photographs, maps, etc.) does not infringe upon any existing copyright." Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication retain copyright in their work and are able to publish their articles in institutional repositories or elsewhere as long as the piece is posted after its original appearance on archivaria.ca. Any reproduction within one year following the date of this agreement requires the permission of the General Editor.
